“Recently we were approached by a landowner with a truly breathtaking plot, which was too small for our usual multiplot development. Not long afterwards, the phone rang from a local businessman who was looking for a ‘unicorn’ plot to build his dream home, asking if a, we knew anywhere and b, if we could help him realise his dream. A few of us had a eureka moment in the office and we decided to roll out the offering.”
Casamia’s newest property, Gateway House, was created as part of this bespoke approach and worked for a client who wanted a unique home in Hazelwood near Duffield.
After detailed design meetings to understand the client’s aspirations, Casamia delivered a striking three-storey property carved into the hillside, maximising living space, capturing panoramic views and incorporating features including a basement bar and entertainment area.
Earlier this month, Casamia Homes unveiled two luxury residential developments in Derbyshire and launched its new website.
The Firs in Allestree is a collection of ten executive, detached family homes and is Casamia’s first development in 2026.
A few miles away in Dalbury Lees, the team are starting to work on a highly distinctive development called Black Fir Farm. This scheme comprises three exceptional new-build barn-style homes designed to create a striking yet sympathetic addition to the rural setting.
