Dozens attend exclusive event to showcase The Firs – Allestree’s newest housing development

Around 80 prospective buyers attended the exclusive launch of The Firs – Allestree’s newest collection of ten luxury homes and strong demand translated into two early reservations.

The private, invite-only event at The Kedleston Country House offered the first opportunity to explore detailed plans, premium specifications and interactive CGI experiences for the development, delivered by Derbyshire-based housebuilder Casamia Homes.

Guests were able to explore the homes through cutting-edge interactive technology, allowing them to virtually walk through properties and streetscapes in a highly realistic, immersive format. Members of the sales and construction teams were also on hand to discuss the build programme, specifications and reservation process.

George Tyler said: “The event was a real success, and it was great to meet so many people genuinely interested in The Firs.

“We’ve already taken two reservations and are in advanced discussions with several other buyers, so we expect a number of further reservations to follow in the coming days. The level of interest has been very encouraging.

“We would advise any interested parties to contact us as soon as possible, across both The Firs and Black Fir Farm.”

Danielle Tyler, Marketing Director at Casamia, said: “There was a fantastic atmosphere on the evening and the response to both the homes and our interactive technology was incredibly positive. People really engaged with the digital walk-throughs and virtual showhome experience.”

Coinciding with the launch, Casamia has also unveiled its newly updated website. The platform allows buyers to explore developments, view interactive walkthroughs and experience a virtual showhome from the comfort of their own home. Prospective purchasers are encouraged to visit the website to explore The Firs in more detail and familiarise themselves with the available homes.

One of the first prospective buyers through the door was businessman, Peter Howell, from Derby. The 36-year-old was keen to view the interactive TV tech and said he had a strong interest in the development.

He said: “I like all ten houses but one does stand out for me and I will be chatting to someone from Casamia today. I will be making my interests known.

“I have two young children, so I am looking for a property that has space and a decent garden.

“I like the idea of buying a house that is completely finished so we can simply move in. I also want to keep the children in the same school, so Allestree really works for us.”

Business owners, Glyn and Jaz Gohil, from Derby, were also keen to find out more about The Firs.

Glyn said: “We are looking for something special and are not in a rush when it comes to finding the right house. We’d like a spacious property with nice views.

“We do like The Firs, but at same time, we are keen to find out more about Casamia’s sister site, Black Fir Farm in Dalbury Lees.”

Also at the event was property developer, Hermy Narroya, her husband and their young daughter. The pair built their dream home in Mickleover but wanted to find out more about The Firs.

Hermy said: “We are in Mickleover at the moment and our house is a dream, but this development really caught our eye.

“We wanted to come and take a look and see what Casamia Homes is about. I have been impressed and it was lovely to see all the digital images.”

The Firs in Allestree is Casamia’s first development in 2026 and will offer a very different style of home – uniting Casamia’s focus on building quality houses in beautiful locations.

Located off Woodlands Lane, Casamia will deliver high-specification interiors with a wide choice of finishes and upgrades. All properties will feature double garages, electric vehicle charging points and solar panels.

George said: “The homes have been designed for buyers who are seeking generous, well-designed large family homes in one of Derby’s most desirable residential locations. We have already secured two reservations with a number of others expected in the coming days.

In parallel with The Firs, Casamia Homes has also started work on Black Fir Farm in Dalbury Lees.

This scheme comprises three exceptional new-build barn-style homes which have been individually designed to create a striking and yet sympathetic addition to the rural setting. Key features include contemporary barn architecture, seamless bronze cladding and extensive glazing to maximise light and take in the views.

The homes are being designed as statement properties and will combine bold modern styes with refined detailing and premium specifications throughout. To register your interest, visit Casamia’s website Casamia Homes.
