Derby’s Cathedral Quarter Hotel opens its diary for couples dreaming of tying the knot in the city, get your dream wedding booked in!

The Cathedral Quarter Hotel, a Grade II listed landmark in Derby, has opened its diary for couples dreaming of tying the knot in the heart of the city. The hotel on St Mary’s Gate says bookings are up for 2026 and management believe the recent refurbishment and its award-winning chef are the reasons couples are booking their civil marriages.

Newlyweds Carrie and Stephen Jones heaped praise on the hotel and its staff after getting married there last year. The pair described the day as “exceptional from beginning to end.”

Carrie explained: “One of the most memorable moments was walking down the aisle and seeing the smile on Stephen’s face, followed by the exchange of our vows. It was a truly unforgettable experience. The new team handled everything with professionalism and care, and the event was executed beautifully and exceeded our expectations.

“We have received numerous compliments from guests, many of whom described it as one of the best weddings they have attended. I would highly recommend this venue. It is a stunning location, and the staff were attentive, dedicated, and outstanding throughout.”
